What's a realistic cleaning schedule for a house like mine?
Once a year covers a quiet household with no pets. With kids, dogs, or a hillside pad that tracks grit in year-round, every six to nine months is more honest. How is the price worked out?

Do you shift the furniture or should we clear the rooms?
We move sofas, chairs, coffee tables, nightstands and light dressers, then set them on blocks or pads until dry. We leave beds, entertainment centers, pianos, safes, and anything with electronics or a fragile top where it is and clean around it. If you want a room done wall to wall, empty it before we arrive and we'll cover the whole floor. Tell us at the estimate so we plan the time and quote it correctly.

Which stains come out and which ones are permanent?
Food, drink, mud, grease, most pet accidents and general traffic soil come out or come close. Dye-based spills, bleach, acne medication, some plant fertilizers and old rust have removed or changed the carpet's color, and cleaning can't put color back. Is any of this a problem for dogs or small kids?
No. We use products rated for occupied homes and rinse the carpet after cleaning, so what's left in the fiber is minimal. Pet ownership is high around here and most of our work is in bedrooms and bonus rooms where kids and dogs spend their day, so we plan for that. Keep everyone off the damp carpet until it dries, mainly so nobody tracks the pile flat.

Can you also handle sofas, area rugs and tile floors?
Yes to all three. Upholstery gets fiber-matched cleaning, and we test hidden fabric first. Heavy area rugs over hardwood are common in these houses; we clean lower-value rugs on site and take wool or silk out for controlled washing.
