What a carpet repair visit actually involves

Low-pile Berber loop in older condos behaves differently. One snagged row can often be re-threaded by hand instead of cut out. Delamination is another matter. The backing has separated from its latex, and that section gets replaced. Yellowing on aged Berber is a chemical change in the fiber, not soil.

Pet urine wicks into padding and then into the slab. Padding is cut out, the concrete is treated, and the carpet is flushed from the back. Filtration lines along baseboards are airborne dust pulled through by HVAC. Stretching does not remove them.
